The activity of sex hormones is subjected to complex neuro-humoraf regulation, with the participation of the brain cortex, subcortex and more particularly of the centers in the hypothalamus, gonadotropic hormones of the adenohypophysis and interaction with other endocrine glands. In previous studies the authors of the present paper have established the activying effect of the testosteronepropionate оn the amylase in blооd and pancreas of male rats. We also established the essential role for its effect played bу the functional condition of the central nervous system, finding moreover that during аn inhibltion process this activying effect is not manifested, whereas during excitation of the central nervous system with coffeine the activying effect is enhanced. The final goal of the present work is to elucidate the role played bу the hypothalamo-hypophyseal system insofar action of male sex hormones is concerned on enzymic activity. With this purpose in view we carried out investigations on the amylase of rats deprived of the hypophysis and hypophysectomized, treated in addition with testosteronepropionate

The estrogenic hormones, generallу considered as „growth factors" with effect mainly upon the primary and secondary sex organs, exert influence also on а number of basic processes in the organism: tissue respiration, energy metabolism, metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein metabolism, water-salt balance. The multilateral functions of estrogens and of other hormones as well, however, occurs in the periphery, in enzymic systems, аnd our knowledge on the regulatiоn of  these processes is still rather limited. In previous works bу the same authors, the influence of androgenic hormones on the activity of the amylase in the blооd and pancreas of male rats was studied. In the present paper the authors set themselves the task of investigating the influence of estrogenic hormones uроn the activity of amylase in castrated and intact female rats

Multitemporal generalization of the Tangherlini solution

The n-time generalization of the Tangherlini solution [1] is considered. The equations of geodesics for the metric are integrated. For n=2n = 2 it is shown that the naked singularity is absent only for two sets of parameters, corresponding to the trivial extensions of the Tangherlini solution. The motion of a relativistic particle in the multitemporal background is considered. This motion is governed by the gravitational mass tensor. Some generalizations of the solution, including the multitemporal analogue of the Myers-Perry charged black hole solution, are obtained.Comment: 14 pages. RGA-CSVR-005/9

    Four Dimensional Integrable Theories

    Get PDF
There exist many four dimensional integrable theories. They include self-dual gauge and gravity theories, all their extended supersymmetric generalisations, as well the full (non-self-dual) N=3 super Yang-Mills equations. We review the harmonic space formulation of the twistor transform for these theories which yields a method of producing explicit connections and metrics. This formulation uses the concept of harmonic space analyticity which is closely related to that of quaternionic analyticity. (Talk by V. Shape Invariant Potential and Semi-Unitary Transformations (SUT) for Supersymmetric Harmonic Oscillator in T4-Space

Constructing the Semi - Unitary Transformation (SUT) to obtain the supersymmetric partner Hamiltonians for a one dimensional harmonic oscillator, it has been shown that under this transformation the supersymmetric partner loses its ground state in T^{4}- space while its eigen functions constitute a complete orthonormal basis in a subspace of full Hilbert space. Space-Time Supersymmetry of Extended Fermionic Strings in 2+22 + 2 Dimensions

The N=2N=2 fermionic string theory is revisited in light of its recently proposed equivalence to the non-compact N=4N=4 fermionic string model. The issues of space-time Lorentz covariance and supersymmetry for the BRST quantized N=2N=2 strings living in uncompactified 2+22 + 2 dimensions are discussed. The equivalent local quantum supersymmetric field theory appears to be the most transparent way to represent the space-time symmetries of the extended fermionic strings and their interactions. Our considerations support the Siegel's ideas about the presence of SO(2,2)SO(2,2) Lorentz symmetry as well as at least one self-dual space-time supersymmetry in the theory of the N=2(4)N=2(4) fermionic strings, though we do not have a compelling reason to argue about the necessity of the {\it maximal} space-time supersymmetry. The world-sheet arguments about the absence of all string massive modes in the physical spectrum, and the vanishing of all string-loop amplitudes in the Polyakov approach, are given on the basis of general consistency of the theory.Comment: 29 pages, LaTeX, ITP-UH-1/9
